August
30 August; Yesterday during the Ronde van Midden-Nederland (Ned) UCI 1.2, I had a flat tire at a very bad moment. Already early in the race there was a break away of 13 riders including my teammate Jempy Drücker. At the Lekdijk I was in the first pursuing group of 10 riders, however the first part of the bunch came back again. At the third dike I got a flat tire and I could easily return to the group, however I was in the last position. After riding for 8 km with the cross winds in last position there was a gap and we were dropped with several riders. After 190 km I turned off to the showers. Teammate Jempy finished at a 4th place.
28 August; Yesterday I started in the Profronde van Almelo (Ned). Winner became the Olympic Champion, Samuel Sanchez (Euskatel-Euskadi). I finished at a 16th place.
22 August; Together with my teammates Stefan Cohnen and Robert Retschke, I participated at the pro criterium in Stolberg-Breinig (Ger). Several times I was in the break away but at the end a group with my teammate Robert were in the front. Robert gained 7th place, I became 14th and Stefan finished in the bunch. Stefan and I went by bike to the race as also back again, we had a nice 185 km today.

18 August; Last Sunday we participated with our team at the Antwerpse Havenpijl (Bel) UCI 1.2. After 30 km I got a flat tire and when I came back to the bunch, a first group of 28 riders were allready in the front. After 130 km the complete bunch had to quit the the race, which means that only 28 riders finished the race. My Teammate Vytautas Kaupas gained a 10th place.
8 August; Also this week I started in three criteriums. Yesterday I took part at the German criterium 'Rund um Dom und Rathaus' in Aachen, on this hard course completely on cobblestones I finished at a 6th place.
Friday I participated together with teammate, Stefan Cohnen at the post-Tour criterium the 'Mile of Mares' in Maarheeze (Ned). At the end I finished the race as 14th and Stefan as 21st, winner became Lars Boom (Rabobank).
Last Wednesday Stefan and I started at the post-Tour criterium the 'Ridderronde' of Maastricht (Ned). In this race I finished behind the winner Servais Knaven (Milram) at a 17th place and Stefan at a 33rd place.
1 August; The last three days I took part at three races. Today I raced with teammate Stefan Cohnen the Omloop van Ransdaal (Ned). My intention was to help Stefan during this race. Allready soon Stefan was in the break away of eight riders and he won the Mountain Classification. I finished in the bunch as 23rd. Stefan drove for a long time at a 3rd place but in the last lap he got caught by the chasers and he finished at a 7th place.
Yesterday Stefan Cohnen and I participated at my homerace in Landgraaf (Ned), the 'Night of Waubach'. After five laps I was in the break away of seven riders, with three riders of Parkhotel Rooding and two riders of Van Vliet-EBH Elshof. This situation was a bit difficult for me, but we stayed in front easily because of the backup of Stefan in the bunch. After several attacks it became a sprint and I finished at a 2nd place behind Bart van Haaren (Van Vliet-EBH Elshof). Last Friday we had the post-Tour criterium in Heerlen (Ned) at our schedule. In the final I was in the break away and finished at a 10th place. Winner became Karsten Kroon (BMC Racing Team) in front of Johnny Hoogerland (Vacansoleil).
July
27 July; Yesterday I took part at the first post-Tour criterium in Boxmeer (Ned). Eventually I finished at a 18th place. Winner became Lars Boom (Rabobank) in front of Niki Terpstra (Milram) and Andy Schleck (Saxo Bank).
25 Juli; Today I gained an 8th place in the race in Schifflange (Lux).
20 July; Last Sunday I participated at the national classic Omloop van Schin op Geul (Ned). Immediately after the start I was in the break away of 11 riders who were leading for 110 km. After the bunch caught us I came into the second group and finished as 34th. Teammate Robert Retschke finished after 155 km at a good 4th place.
11 July; Today I participated at the race in Düren-Merken (Ger), however two laps before I had a flat tire and had to abandon the race. This while I still could gain a top-5 result.
7 July; Last Sunday I started at the UCI 1.2 race, Dwars door het Hageland in Aarschot (Bel). However after 120 km I abandoned the race because my legs blocked through the heat. This week I will have a recovery week and hopefully my form will be good for the next races.
3 July; Yesterday I participated at the criterium in Vianden (Lux). Winner became my Luxembourg teammate, Christian Poos, who was in the break away of five riders. 12 laps before the finish my teammate, Stefan Cohnen, and I attacked out of the bunch and we finished at a 6th and 7th place.

28 June; CONTINENTAL TEAM DIFFERDANGE HAS 2 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS ! Vytautas Kaupas became National Champion of Lithuania Road Race with the professionals and Tom Thill became Luxembourg Champion Time Trail in the U23-category. Next to that Christian Poos gained a 3rd place with the pro's at the Luxembourg Championship Time Trail after Andy and Fränk Schleck.
27 June; Today I started at the Dutch Championship for professionals in Beek (Ned). Immediately after the start there was an early break away of six riders, which got a maximum gap of 5 minutes. After 80 km Rabobank started to chase and quickly the gap became smaller. At the cobbles on the top of the Maasberg I got a flat tire, but I could return to bunch without any problems. However after 150 km at the top of the Adsteeg, two Rabobank riders let a gap in front of me and with five riders we couldn't close the gap to the chasing bunch. For me this was a disappointing end of my National Championship. Niki Terpstra (Milram) is the new Dutch National Champion.
24 June; Yesterday I participated with Team Differdange at Halle-Ingooigem (Bel) UCI 1.1. After I survived the hilly section we arrived the local laps with an average speed of 46 km/h. Three laps before the finish I abandoned the race to save some energy with a view to the Dutch National Championship next Sunday. Winner of the race was Jurgen van de Walle (Quick Step).
20 June; 2nd VICTORY OF SEASON ! After I destroyed my first half of the season because of low blood levels through a heavily infected graze after my crash in Nokere Koerse, I could finish some good training sessions last week because my blood levels are finally okay now. In the race in Bertrange (Lux) my legs were good and I was in the break away of nine riders which lapped the complete bunch. Together with my three teammates Cyrille Heymans, Håkan Nilsson and Christian Poos we could dominate this race and I gained the victory in front of Cyrille and Håkan.
Today in Brunssum (Ned) my legs weren't that good as yesterday and I also missed the right break away. When I also missed the next chasing group the race was over for me. I didn't sprint anymore for a top-30 result and passed the finishline as last rider of the bunch at a 67th place. Teammate Stefan Cohnen gained a 2nd place, so at least my kids went on the podium.
14 June; After I abandoned in Ronde de l'Oise (Fra), I finished yesterday in Goirle (Ned) at a 17th place.
7 June; Yesterday I took part at the Ronde van Limburg (Ned) with the mix-team Restore Cycling/CT Differdange. With 185 km and 32 climbs it was a hard race. Also because of the heat and a thunderstorm the circumstances became even heavier. Eventually I finished at a 28th place. Winner became Maarten De Jonge (CT Piels) in front of Björn Glasner (Kuota-Indeland).

30 May; 3rd PLACE IN GP FRANÇOIS FABER After a hard race, I finished 3rd during the GP François Faber in Contern (Lux). Teammate Christian Poos escaped early in the race together with Bob Jungels. 15 km before the finish I could escape out of the chasing group together with the German rider, Benjamin Hober. In the sprint I was the fastest of the both of us and I finished at a 3rd place. My teammate Christian Poos could gain the victory. For me personally this is a nice result after my lesser period.

24 May; Today I took part at the District Championship of Limburg in Hoensbroek (Ned). However appeared already fast that I had one of my worst days ever. Most likely still the consequence of my sickness of last week. Eventually I finished at a 9th place with the Elite. Tomorrow I will visit my doctor to check what is wrong. I also will take a week of complete rest.
22 May; In spite of a antibiotic treatment I took part at the criterium in Buchten (Ned) yesterday. I missed the early break away of six riders which took 1.15 min. at the bunch. During the last 10 laps I was in the chasing group of six riders who closed the gap at the leaders until 10 sec. Finally I finished at an 8th place. With a view to the District Championship of Limburg next Monday I have decided not to start at the second race in Buchten today.
In the same period other riders of our team took part at the Fleche du Sud UCI 2.2 in Luxembourg. Our team gained two victories, Jempy Drucker won the prologue and Stefan Cohnen won the 4th stage.
11 May; 1st VICTORY OF SEASON ! Today I participated at the District Championship of Limburg Time Trail in Ransdaal (Ned). In the rain it was a technical and hilly course. Because I will leave tomorrow to the stagerace Rhône-Alpes Isère (Fra) I wanted to avoid a crash, so I didn't take risks in the corners. At the end I was more then 10 seconds faster then my former teammate Ward Schiffelers. In total this was my 9th title as District Champion of Limburg. Press Report Landgraaf Koerier
10 May; Yesterday I finished in Kayl (Lux) at a 9th place, winner of the race was my teammate Patrick Gressnich.
2 May; Last Friday I finished in Geldrop (Ned) at a 17th place and Saturday in Yerseke (Ned) I gained a 9th place. During the race in Yerseke I had good legs, so I won some primes. But most important is that my form improves.
April
26 April; Last weekend I participated at the Arno Wallaard Memorial (Ned) UCI 1.2 and the Ronde van Noord-Holland (Ned) UCI 1.2. After 200 km the Arno Wallaard Memorial turned out into a bunchsprint in which I finished at a 24th place. During the Ronde van Noord-Holland I had no good legd and I abandoned.
19 April; Because of the closed European airspace by the volcano in Iceland, our flight from Frankfurt to Seoul is cancelled. Because of this the Tour de Korea is allready over before it started for our team.
18 April; Yesterday in Trierweiler (Ger) I finished at a 3rd place. Together with Tom Flammang (ex-Cofidis) and Michael Gannopolskij, we chased the two leaders. At the end I won the hilly sprint for the 3rd place.
12 April; Yesterday I finished after 140 km at a 7th place in the GP Marc Angel in Dommeldange (Lux).
9 April; Yesterday during GP Pino Cerami (Bel) UCI 1.1 I came too short to compete the final. Shortly before the local laps the bunch splitted because of the cross winds and I was in the first group of 40 riders, unfortunately the second group caught us again. However after 150 km my "light" went out.
4 April; Today I finished at a 15th place during the race in Oploo (Ned). Together with teammate Stefan Cohnen I was in the break away of 25 riders. At the end our group splitted up and Stefan finished at a 9th place.
In France my teammate Vytautas Kaupas gained a great victory in the UCI 1.2 race, GP de la Ville de Nogent-sur-Oise.
3 April; Today I took part at the Hel van het Mergelland (Ned) UCI 1.1. With teams as Saxo-Bank, HTC-Columbia, Cervelo and Rabobank there were strong competitors. Just after the feedingstation the race was over for me, because it was a hard course and I just wasn't good enough. Around 40 riders finished this race and the final winner was Yann Huguet (Skil-Shimano).

28 March; Today we took part with Team Differdange, at GP Danesi in Dippach (Lux). After 30 km the bunch splitted and I was in the first group. After several attacks I was in the break away of eight riders together with five teammates. Our gap grew very fast to some minutes and eventually the first five places were taken by our team. Winner became Morten Knudsen, in front of Vytautas Kaupas, Christian Poos and Håkan Nilsson, I finished at a 5th place.
22 March; Yesterday I finished at a 5th place in the race in Hollerich (Lux). Winner became my Luxembourg teammate Pit Schlechter.
17 March; Today in Nokere Koerse (Bel) UCI 1.1 I had a very bad crash after 8 km. In a descent I couldn't avoid a bottle on the ground and crashed hard together with some colleague riders.
11 March; Yesterday I took part at the pro kermesse in Wanzele-Lede (Bel). After 142 km I abandoned because I had bad legs, which probably is the consequence of the temperature difference between Singapore and Europe. This week I can acclimatise and then it possibly will be better in Nokere Koerse (Bel).
9 March; Last week I travelled to Singapore to participate at the OCBC Cycle Classic Singapore. The weather was perfect with temperatures untill 35°C. With the Pro-Tour teams Lampre-Farnese Vini and Footon-Servetto there were strong competitors. The race on Sunday ended into a bunchsprint where I finished as 26th. Winner became Ben Kersten (Fly V Australia) in front of Michele Merlo (Footon-Servetto) and Angelo Furlan (Lampre-Farnese Vini).
February
28 February; Yesterday we had the first official race of Continental Team Differdange at our program, the Beverbeek Classic (Bel) UCI 1.2. This is always a nervous race from the start, which turned out into a bunchsprint. Because of a crash in the last kilometre I lost a good position in the sprint and after 176 km I finished at a 34th place.

21 February; Yesterday I participated at the trainingrace in Kruiningen (Ned), close to the house of my sister-in-law. At the end I was in the break away of eight riders of which six riders of ZRTC Middelkamp and Nick Van Der Lijcke (Rabobank CT). After I react at the jump of Van Der Lijcke during the last 500m, Christian Kik attacked and I finished at a 2nd place.
Today I started in the trainingrace in Echt (Ned). Immediately I noticed that my legs were not good after a hard trainingweek and the race of yesterday. I decided to keep it quiet and with the leading group we lapped the bunch. Finally I finished as 8th.
7 February; Together with my teammate Stefan Cohnen I took part at the trainingrace in Echt (Ned). After we both attacked several times, Stefan could escape out of the peloton and drove solo to the victory. I finished at a 4th place.
January
23 January; Today I participated at the first trainingrace in Oss (Ned). Already early in the race there was a break away of seven riders and we had immediately a big gap at the bunch. At the end I attacked and tried to go solo, but the chasers caught me again. In the sprint I got beaten by Ronan van Zandbeek (Van Vliet EBH Elshof) and I finished 2nd.

10 January; My Luxembourg teammates, Jempy Drucker and Pit Schlechter became both National Champion of Luxembourg Cyclo-Cross in Alzingen (Lux). Jempy won the Elite race and Pit became the new U23 National Champion.
